Abstract
Rad istražuje komunikacijske kompetencije odgojitelja u kontekstu interkulturalnog odgoja, s ciljem analiziranja ključnih aspekata i izazova s kojima se odgojitelji suočavaju u multikulturalnim obrazovnim okruženjima. Naglasak je stavljen na važnost razvijanja komunikacijskih kompetencija kao temeljne komponente profesionalnog profila odgojitelja te na njihov utjecaj na uspješan interkulturalni odgoj i obrazovanje. U radu su korištene metode deskriptivne analize i sinteze kako bi se identificirali ključni pojmovi, teorijski okviri i modeli koji objašnjavaju komunikacijske i interkulturalne kompetencije. Analizirani su znanstveni članci, knjige, službeni i nacionalni dokumenti i izvještaji, a kvalitativna analiza omogućila je dublje razumijevanje problema i izazova s kojima se odgojitelji suočavaju. Rezultati analize pokazuju da su komunikacijske kompetencije odgojitelja ključne za stvaranje inkluzivnog i poticajnog odgojno-obrazovnog okruženja. Istaknuto je da su odgojitelji suočeni s potrebom kontinuiranog usavršavanja kako bi adekvatno odgovorili na zahtjeve interkulturalnog odgoja te da je potrebno razvijati i unapređivati njihove verbalne i neverbalne komunikacijske vještine. Interkulturalne kompetencije igraju ključnu ulogu u promociji kulturne raznolikosti i inkluzije, a naglašena je važnost razumijevanja i poštivanja različitih kultura te razvoja kompetencija koje omogućuju učinkovitu komunikaciju i suradnju s ljudima iz različitih kulturnih sredina. Zaključeno je da sustavno i kontinuirano stručno usavršavanje odgojitelja, koje uključuje teorijske i praktične aspekte interkulturalnog odgoja, može značajno unaprijediti kvalitetu obrazovnog procesa. Preporučuje se daljnje istraživanje i razvoj specifičnih programa obuke s naglaskom na komunikacijske i interkulturalne kompetencije. Kroz unapređenje ovih kompetencija, odgojitelji će biti u mogućnosti pružiti podršku svakom djetetu u njegovom razvoju, promičući pritom međukulturno razumijevanje i poštovanje, što su temeljne vrijednosti suvremenog obrazovanja.
Abstract (english)
The paper explores the communication competencies of educators in the context of intercultural education, aiming to analyze the key aspects and challenges educators face in multicultural educational environments. Emphasis is placed on the importance of developing communication competencies as a fundamental component of the professional profile of educators and their impact on successful intercultural education. The study employs methods of descriptive analysis and synthesis to identify key concepts, theoretical frameworks, and models that explain communication and intercultural competencies. Scientific articles, books, official and national documents, and reports were analyzed, and qualitative analysis provided a deeper understanding of the problems and challenges faced by educators. The results of the analysis show that educators' communication competencies are crucial for creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment. It is highlighted that educators need continuous professional development to adequately meet the demands of intercultural education and that it is necessary to develop and enhance their verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Intercultural competencies play a key role in promoting cultural diversity and inclusion, emphasizing the importance of understanding and respecting different cultures and developing competencies that enable effective communication and collaboration with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. It is concluded that systematic and continuous professional development of educators, which includes theoretical and practical aspects of intercultural education, can significantly improve the quality of the educational process. Further research and development of specific training programs with a focus on communication and intercultural competencies are recommended. By improving these competencies, educators will be able to support each child's development, promoting intercultural understanding and respect, which are fundamental values of contemporary education.
