Abstract
Cilj je ovoga rada predstaviti zakone računskih radnji s kojima se učenici susreću u nižim razredima osnovne škole te ukazati na važnost njihove primjene u rješavanju matematičkih zadataka, ali i u svakodnevnim životnim situacijama. To su zakon asocijativnosti i zakon komutativnosti za zbrajanje i množenje te zakon distributivnosti množenja prema zbrajanju. Osim dokaza ovih zakona matematičkom indukcijom, ovaj rad donosi rezultate istraživanja na području dječjeg razumijevanja svojstava računskih radnji te prijedlog aktivnosti za demonstraciju i provjeru usvojenosti ovih sadržaja kao pomoć učiteljima u nastavi. U ovome je radu naglasak na važnosti konceptualnog razumijevanju zakona računskih radnji u primjeni strategija bržeg i lakšeg rješavanja matematičkih problema.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to present the laws of operations in mathematics which students encounter in lower grades of primary school and to point out the importance of using them in solving mathematical tasks, as well as in everyday situations. These are the associative and commutative laws of addition and multiplication and the distributive law of multiplication over addition. The paper offers both the mathematical induction proofs of the aforementioned laws and the results of the experiments concerning children’s understanding of the properties of operations. It also suggests certain activities for demonstrating and evaluating the acquisition of these contents in order to provide help for teachers. The paper highlights the importance of conceptual understanding of the laws for using the strategies for quicker and easier solving of the mathematical tasks.
