Abstract
Cilj je diplomskoga rada Čitateljski interesi učenika mlađe školske dobi ukazati na važnost čitanja u nastavi Hrvatskoga jezika kako bi jednoga dana čitanje postalo čovjekova svakodnevna cjeloživotna aktivnost. Za razvoj čitateljskih interesa od najranije dobi važni su mnogi čimbenici poput književnog odgoja u obitelji, razvoja motivacije za čitanje u školskom okruženju i u slobodnom vremenu. U praktičnom se dijelu rada donose rezultati provedenoga istraživanja čitateljskih interesa učenika mlađe školske dobi. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od 87 učenika četvrtih razreda Osnovne škole Frana Krste Frankopana Osijek i Osnovne škole „Mladost“ Osijek u školskoj godini 2018./19. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su kako je poznavanje i uvažavanje čitateljskih interesa učenika nužno radi unaprjeđivanja nastave Hrvatskoga jezika i stvaranja trajne čitateljske publike. U skladu s preporukama ispitanika donesen je i prijedlog mogućeg lektirnog popisa namijenjenog učenicima četvrtih razreda osnovne škole.
Abstract (english)
The objective of the thesis Reading Preferences of Younger Schools Students is to point out the importance of reading in the Croatian language classes in order for reading to one day become a person's everyday lifelong activity. There are many factors influencing the development of reading preferences from a very early age, such as literary education in the family, the development of motivation for reading, both in school and during leisure time. The practical part of the thesis portrays the results of the conducted research of reading preferences of younger school students. The research was conducted on a sample of 87 fourth grade students of the Fran Krsto Frankopan Primary School and Mladost Osijek Primary School in the 2018/19 school year. The results of the research have indicated that, in order to improve Croatian language classes and create a permanent reading audience, it is necessary to know and take into account the reading preferences of students. A proposal of a potential reading list for the fourth grade primary school students has also been drawn up in accordance with the recommendations of the surveyed students.
