Abstract
Intermodalni transport je kretanje tereta u jednoj te istoj teretnoj jedinici ili cestovnom vozilu koje koristi dva ili više prijevoznih modova bez diranja tereta prilikom prekrcaja s jednog prijevoznog sredstva na drugo. Intermodalni transport se razvio zbog povećanja robnih tokova i održivog razvoja. Ulaganjem u intermodalni transport nastoji se smanjiti moć cestovnog transporta, odnosno uključiti ostale prijevozne modove u transport robe. Još jedna zadaća intermodalnog prijevoza je da se smanje ukupni troškovi transporta. Uspostavom intermodalnog servisa Turska-Poljska žele se smanjiti troškovi prijevoza, privući robni tokovi da idu preko luke Rijeke (što ima veliki značaj za Republiku Hrvatsku), te kako je već prije spomenuto smanjiti utjecaj cestovnog transporta.
Abstract (english)
Intermodal transport is the movement of cargo in one and the same cargo unit or a road vehicle, using two or more modes of transport without handling the cargo at the time of trans-shipment from one means of transport to another. Intermodal transport has been developed due to increased cargo flows and sustainable development. Investments in intermodal transport are made in order to reduce the road transport capacity, i.e. engage other modes of transport in the transport of goods. Another purpose of intermodal transport is to reduce total transport costs. The aim of establishing the intermodal service Turkey – Poland is to reduce transport costs, attract cargo flows and direct them via the Port of Rijeka (which is of great importance for the Republic of Croatia), and to reduce the impact of road transport, as mentioned above.
