Abstract
U ovom radu prikazana su gospodarska i demografska obilježja Varaždinske županije. Varaždinska županija smatra se najstarijom upravno teritorijalnom jedinicom, a Grad Varaždin je jedan od najstarijih hrvatskih gradova i oduvijek je upravno, kulturno i prosvjetno sjedište Varaždinske županije. U Varaždinskoj županiji prema popisu stanovništva iz 2011. godine živi 4,14% stanovništva Republike Hrvatske. Opisana su geografska i geološka obilježja, cestovna infrastruktura, te je prikazana povezanost naselja autobusnim prometom u Varaždinskoj županiji. Varaždinska županija nalazi se na krajnjem sjeverozapadu Republike Hrvatske gdje graniči sa Slovenijom, a susjedne županije su Međimurska na sjeveroistoku, Koprivničko-križevačka na jugoistoku, Zagrebačka na jugu i Krapinsko-zagorska na jugozapadu. Varaždinska županija sastoji se od 6 gradova, 22 općine i 302 naselja. Također su navedeni i opisani i glavni nositelji autobusnog prometa Varaždinske županije. Nadalje je predstavljen vozni park te naplata putničkog prijevoza. Sastavni dio rada je i anketa provedena među stanovnicima Varaždinske županije o zadovoljstvu uslugom autobusnih linija koje su im na raspolaganju, učestalosti i udobnosti korištenja javnog gradskog prijevoza.
Abstract (english)
This paper presents the economic and demographic characteristics of Varaždin County. Varaždin County is considered the oldest administrative territorial unit, and the City of Varaždin is one of the oldest Croatian cities and has always been the administrative, cultural and educational headquarters of Varaždin County. According to the population census of 2011, 4.14% of the population of the Republic of Croatia lives in the Varaždin County. Geographical and geological features, road infrastructure and the connection of the villages with bus traffic in Varaždin County are described. Varaždin County is located in the far northwest of the Republic of Croatia where it borders Slovenia, and the neighboring counties are Međimurska in the northeast, Koprivničko-križevačka in the southeast, Zagrebačka in the south and Krapinsko-zagorska in the southwest. Varaždin County consists of 6 cities, 22 municipalities and 302 settlements. Also mentioned and described are the main carriers of bus traffic of Varaždin County. Furthermore, the fleet and the collection of passenger transport were presented. An integral part of the work was a survey carried out among residents of Varaždin County about the satisfaction with the service of the bus lines at their disposal, the frequency and the comfort of using public transport.
