Abstract
APU je pomoćna energetska jedinica (engl. Auxiliary Power Unit, APU) koja omogućava rad zrakoplova na zračnim lukama koje nemaju opremu za napajanje zrakoplova iz zemaljskih izvora. Generator APU-a proizvodi električnu energiju za potrebe zrakoplova prije pokretanja glavnih motora, a odvajanjem zraka od kompresora APU-a klimatizira se kabina i pokreću se pogonski motori zrakoplova. U slučaju neke izvanredne situacije u letu služi kao pomoćni izvor električne energije i pomoću njega se ponovno pokreću glavni motori. U ovom završnom radu opisana je uloga APU-a te je ukratko prikazana eksploatacija i održavanje APU-a. Na temelju podataka o neplaniranim otkazima tijekom određenog perioda eksploatacije, proračunati su eksploatacijski parametri APU-a za flotu zrakoplova Airbus A320.
Abstract (english)
APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) allows the functioning of airplanes in airports which do not have the equipment to power up the airplanes from a ground source. APU generator produces electric energy for the airplane before starting the main engines, and by separating air from the APU’s compressor the cabin is air-conditioned and the propulsion engines are started. In case of an in-flight emergency, it serves as an auxiliary source of electric energy and it is used to restart the main engines. This paper describes the role of the APU and it also briefly presented the ways of exploiting and maintaining the APU. By using data about unplanned failures during a certain period of exploitation, the exploitation parameters for a fleet of Airbus A320 airplanes were calculated.
