Abstract
Svrha i cilj ovog diplomskog rada je proanalizirati prometnu politiku Europske unije te načine i mjere na koje Europska unija pridonosi održivosti prometnog sustava. Na temelju saznanja dobre prakse EU gradova, usporedit će se strategije i mjere koje su najviše pridonijele održivosti transportnog sustava u urbanim sredinama. Strategije i mjere održivog urbanog transportnog sustava motivirane su podizanjem kvalitete života u gradovima i vođene načelom održivog razvoja. Prometna politika EU temelji se na planovima održivog gradskog prijevoza koji se provode u većini europskih zemalja. Održivim transportnim sustavom pokušava se smanjti upotreba osobnih automobila, poticanje korisnika na pješačenje, korištenje bicikala za manje udaljenosti te sredstva masovnog prijevoza odnosno integrirani prijevoz. Saznanja dobivena provedenom analizom dobre prakse održivog gradskog prijevoza europskih gradova koriste se kao osnova za prijedlog pristupu izradi planova održive mobilnosti u Republici Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
The purpose of this graduate thesis is to analyze the transport policy of the cities in European Union. The strategies and measures the EU is passing, to make the transport system sustainable, is motivated by raising the quality of life in cities and driven by the principle of sustainable development. EU transport policy is based on sustainable urban transport plans implemented in most European countries. A sustainable transport system is trying to reduce the use of personal cars, encourage pedestrians, use of bicycles for smaller distances and mass transportation or integrated transport. The knowledge gained through the analysis of the good practice of sustainable urban transport of European cities is used as a basis for proposing an approach to the development of sustainable mobility plans in the Republic of Croatia.
