Abstract
Prometna nesreća je događaj na cesti, izazvan kršenjem prometnih propisa, u kojem je sudjelovalo najmanje jedno vozilo u pokretu i u kojem je najmanje jedna osoba ozlijeđena ili poginula, ili u roku od 30 dana preminula od posljedica te prometne nesreće, ili je izazvana materijalna šteta. Pojam opasnog mjesta označava dijelove ceste na kojima se događa veći broj prometnih nesreća s ljudskim žrtvama i većom materijalnom štetom. Opasna mjesta su dijelovi ceste ili cestovne lokacije na kojima je rizik od prometnih nesreća statistički značajno veći nego na drugim cestovnim lokacijama. Statistika je najrelevantnije polazište prilikom istraživanja cestovne prometne sigurnosti. Identifikacija opasnih mjesta predstavlja značajan aspekt upravljanja prometa na mjestima koja predstavljaju potencijalnu opasnost za sudionike u prometu.
Abstract (english)
Traffic accident is a road accident caused by violation of traffic regulations involving at least one vehicle on the move and at least one person injured or killed, or died within 30 days of the accident or caused material damage. The concept of a hazardous location means part of the road where more traffic accidents occur with human victims and greater material damage. Dangerous places are parts of the road or road where the risk of traffic accidents is statistically significantly higher than in other road locations. Statistics are the most relevant starting point for road safety research. Identification of hazardous sites represents a significant aspect of traffic management at places that pose a potential hazard to traffic participants.
