Abstract
Razvojem zračnog prometa i njegovih sustava, rastom potražnje za zračnim prijevozom povećali su se standardi zaštite i standardi sustava koji se koriste. U prošlosti je bilo mnogo zrakoplovnih nesreća zbog kojih su se uvela poboljšanja sigurnosti, odnosno razvijeni su sustavi koji održavaju prihvatljivu razinu sigurnosti, a neki od najvažnijih takvih sustava su sustavi za izbjegavanje nesreća pod koje spadaju: sustav za izbjegavanje sudara (TCAS – Traffic Collision Avoidance System) i sustav za upozoravanje pilota (GPWS – Ground Proximity Warning System). U ovom završnom radu, opisan je princip rada i razvoj tih sustava, te koje su nesreće dovele do razvoja tih sustava. Opisan je princip rada radara kako bi mogli shvatiti na koji način rade ovi sustavi i usporedba između starijih i novijih generacija sustava za izbjegavanje sudara.
Abstract (english)
Along with the development of air traffic and its systems and increasing demand for air transport, the standard of protection has increased and also standards of systems that are being used. There have been many aircraft accidents in the past that have introduced safety enhancements, so that an acceptable level of safety is maintained, and one of the most important of these systems is the aircraft system for avoidance of accidents which includes: Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) and Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS). In this thesis, the principle of operation and development of these systems is described, along with the accidents which led to the development of these systems. The principle of radar operation is described to understand how these systems work and to allow comparison between older and newer generation of collision-avoidance systems.
