Brz i učinkovit prekrcaj tereta i smanjenje zadržavanja brodova, proširenje kapaciteta i kvalitetna povezanost sa zaleđem uvjeti su koje moraju ispuniti morske luke kako bi odgovorile na rastuće trendove pomorskog prometa kontejnerima. Razvoj pozadinskih terminala čini se kao najprikladnije rješenje za luke koje imaju nedostatak kapaciteta na svojim terminalima i zagušenost na pristupnim prometnicama. Abstract (english)
The most important conditions that must be met by seaports to respond to the growing trend of container shipping are rapid and efficient cargo transshipment, reduction of vessel detention, expansion of capacity and good hinterland connectivity. The development of inland terminals seems to be the most appropriate solution for ports in order to face the lack of capacity at their terminals and congested traffic lines access.
