Abstract
Brz i učinkovit prekrcaj tereta i smanjenje zadržavanja brodova, proširenje kapaciteta i kvalitetna povezanost sa zaleđem uvjeti su koje moraju ispuniti morske luke kako bi odgovorile na rastuće trendove pomorskog prometa kontejnerima. Razvoj pozadinskih terminala čini se kao najprikladnije rješenje za luke koje imaju nedostatak kapaciteta na svojim terminalima i zagušenost na pristupnim prometnicama. Pozadinski terminal kao intermodalni terminalni objekt, rezultat je okrupnjavanja tereta u zaleđu morskih luka, s kojom je povezan jakom izravnom vezom velikog kapaciteta, a također i s ponudom usluga koja zamjenjuje ili nadopunjuje usluge morskih luka, poput carinskih usluga, pohrane tereta ili usluga s dodanom vrijednošću. Kao intermodalni terminali pozadinski terminali omogućuju modalni pomak s ceste na održivije oblike transporta.
Abstract (english)
The most important conditions that must be met by seaports to respond to the growing trend of container shipping are rapid and efficient cargo transshipment, reduction of vessel detention, expansion of capacity and good hinterland connectivity. The development of inland terminals seems to be the most appropriate solution for ports in order to face the lack of capacity at their terminals and congested traffic lines access. An inland terminal is the result of cargo consolidation in the hinterland of seaports, with a direct high capacity corridor, but also offers a service that replaces or complements seaport services such as customs clearance, cargo storagge or value-added services. Additionally, inland terminals, as an intermodal terminals, allow modal shift from the road to sustainable modes of transport.
