Abstract
Percepcija je složeni nesvjesni proces aktivnog prikupljanja, organiziranja i interpretiranja primljenih osjetnih informacija na temelju iskustva, znanja itd. koji omogućuje pojedincu upoznavanja i prepoznavanje značenja predmeta, pojava i događaja u okolini. Jedna od njezinih podvrsta je vizualna percepcija koja je ključna za sigurno odvijanje prometa jer su u njemu većina bitnih informacija vizualnog karaktera. Izrazito je važna tijekom noćne vožnje s obzirom da je loša vidljivost uzrok zašto je noćna vožnja opasnija od vožnje danju. Noću se smanjuje mogućnost percepcije udaljenosti i dubine, procjene brzine kretanja drugih vozila, razlikovanje boja kod prometnih znakova i sl. Cilj ovog rada je analizirati sigurnost cestovnog prometa u noćnim uvjetima te istražiti vozačevu percepciju, način na koji on pregledava okolinu i čimbenike koji su važni za vidljivost noću.
Abstract (english)
Perception is a complex unconscious process which includes active gathering, organization and interpretation of received sensory information based on the knowledge, experience etc. This process enables introducing and recognizing the meaning of an object, phenomenon and occurrence in current environment. One of its sub types is visual perception which is crucial for safe traffic. Visual perception is crucial because the majority of the important information in traffic is presented visually. This kind of perception is very important during night-time driving as poor visibility is the reason why driving at night is more dangerous than driving during the day. While driving at night the ability to perceive distance and depth, estimate the speed of other vehicles and differentiate colors on traffic signs is reduced. The aim of this work is to analyze the safety of the road traffic during night conditions, but also to explore the way that those conditions are perceived by drivers and the factors that are important for visibility at night.
