Abstract
Primjena raskrižja s kružnim tokom traje od početka XIX. stoljeća. Kao i u europskim zemljama tako i u Hrvatskoj izgradnja kružnog raskrižja dobiva sve veću važnost zbog mnogih prednosti, a razlog tome je mogućnost smanjenje broja konfliktnih točaka pri velikom prometu u gradovima. Zadatak ovog završnog rada je analizirati učinkovitosti kružnih raskrižja sa stajališta sigurnosti u cestovnom prometu. Pomoću navedenih projektno – oblikovnih elemenata osim što se izrađuje okvirni izgled raskrižja s kružnim tokom također doprinose i povećanju propusne moć kroz raskrižje kao i povećanju sigurnosti prometa. Pod glavne karakteristike kružnog raskrižja spadaju odvijanje prometa u suprotnom smjeru od kazaljke na satu, spajanje tri ili više privoza te smanjenje već spomenutih konfliktnih točaka uz povećanje sigurnosti prometa.
Abstract (english)
The application of roundabouts has been going on since the beginning of the 19th century. century. As in European countries, the construction of a roundabout is becoming increasingly important in Croatia due to its many advantages, and the reason for this is the possibility of reducing the number of points of conflict in heavy urban traffic. The task of this final paper is to analyze the efficiency of roundabouts from the point of view of road safety. With the help of the mentioned design and design elements, in addition to creating the approximate appearance of the roundabout, they also contribute to the increase of the throughput through the intersection as well as to the increase of traffic safety. The main characteristics of the roundabout include the movement of traffic in a counterclockwise direction, the connection of three or more approaches and the reduction of the already mentioned points of conflict while increasing traffic safety.
