Abstract Željeznička pruga Podsused Tvornica – Samobor – Bregana projektirana je kao pruga za obavljanje prigradskog putničkog prijevoza. Sama izgradnja koncipirana je u dvije faze. Prva faza sastoji se od izgradnje pruge od kolodvora Podsused Tvornica do Perivoja, a druga faza od Perivoja do kolodvora Bregana. Izgradnja pruge Podsused Tvornica – Samobor – Perivoj imat će veliku važnost za mnogobrojne putnike iz grada Samobora i Svete Nedelje, ali i okolnih naselja Bregane, Domaslovca, Strmca, Orešja i Bestovja koji svakodnevno putuju prema Zagrebu. Korištenje željezničkog prijevoza smanjit će i prometne gužve na cestama, osigurati poboljšanje demografske slike gradova Samobora, Svete Nedelje, ali i njene okolice, pridonijeti gospodarskom i turističkom razvitku i boljoj povezanosti sa gradom Zagrebom. Dosadašnji prijevoz radnika, učenika i studenata do Zagreba odvija se autobusima i osobnim automobilima što uz postojeću prometnu gužvu koja produžuje vrijeme putovanja, probleme oko parkiranja, povećava i zagađenost okoliša i tako dodatno opterećuje centar grada. Jedan od osnovnih strateških ciljeva razvoja željezničke infrastrukture i željezničkoga putničkog prometa u središnjoj Hrvatskoj je proširivanje prstena oko grada Zagreba koji će postati sastavnim dijelom prigradskoga željezničkoga prometnog sustava grada Zagreba. Promjene u načinu života i navikama stanovništva, te udobnost i fleksibilnost osobnih automobila s jedne strane i nedovoljno razvijenog javnog prijevoza s druge strane, često puta dovode do prometnog kolapsa u većim gradovima. To se dogodilo i u Zagrebu, posebno u njegovu zapadnom dijelu, gdje zbog zagušenosti cestovnih prometnica dolazi do usporenosti i zastoja u vršnim dnevnim opterećenjima. Javni prijevoz između Zagreba i Samobora te Svete Nedelje, zasnovan je isključivo na autobusnom prometu. Iako se njime prevozi oko 50% putnika na toj relaciji, on se nije pokazao dovoljno učinkovitim u odnosu na osobne automobile, a postao je nepouzdan i nesiguran što odvraća ljude od njegova korištenja.
Abstract (english) Railway line Podsused Tvornica – Samobor – Bregana is designed as a railway line for suburban passenger transport. The construction was conceived in two phases. The first phase consists of the construction of the railway from Podsused Tvornica station to the Perivoj station, and the second phase from the Perivoj station to the Bregana station. The construction of the railway line Podsused Tvornica - Samobor - Perivoj will be of great importance for many passengers from the town of Samobor and Sveta Nedelja, but also the surrounding settlements of Bregana, Domaslovac, Strmec, Orešje and Bestovje who travel daily to Zagreb. The use of rail transport will reduce traffic congestion on the roads, ensure the improvement of the demographic picture of the cities of Samobor, Sveta Nedelja, but also its surroundings, contribute to economic and tourist development and better connections with the city of Zagreb. Workers, pupils and students currently travel to Zagreb by buses and cars, which in addition to the existing traffic jams that prolong travel time and parking issues, also increases environmental pollution and thus further burdens the city center. One of the basic strategic goals of the development of railway infrastructure and railway passenger traffic in central Croatia is the expansion of the ring around the city of Zagreb, which will become an integral part of the suburban railway transport system of the city of Zagreb. Changes in the lifestyle and habits of the population, as well as comfort and flexibility of private cars on the one hand and underdeveloped public transport on the other, often lead to a traffic collapse in larger cities. This also happened in Zagreb, especially in its western part, where due to congestion of roads, there is a slowdown in traffic and delays in peak daily loads. Public transport between Zagreb and Samobor and Sveta Nedelja is based exclusively on bus traffic. Although it transports about 50% of passengers on that route, it isn`t efficient enough compared to private cars, and it has become unreliable and unsafe, which deters people from using it.
