Abstract (english) The collection and processing of data in public urban transport refers to parameters that characterize, for example, the characteristics of the traffic flow, theories about the maximum service time, total data on the annual number of transported passengers, realized passenger kilometers, average traffic time, average travel speed in the system, economic business indicators. These are data that reflect the value of certain variables in a certain period of time. They relate to the general state of the system, and enable monitoring of its behavior in the desired period of time as well as comparison with similar systems. By observing the obtained data on a micro level, it is possible to determine the critical points in the system and the immediate and precise causes of traffic problems that are the reason for the analysis. The most important quantities that define the behavior of the system in public urban transport at the micro level are passenger flow, interval, speed and turn time. The collection of data by counting passengers or measuring different amounts of traffic is done for the purposes of analyzing the existing system, most often in the function of controlling the behavior of the system or when planning and designing new systems. In practice, the negative effects of incomplete or insufficiently precise traffic counting are visible, ultimately and incomplete representation of the process where technical solutions are created without taking into account all the necessary dimensions that define the traffic system of the JGP. There is also no standardized methodology that would lead to the desired input data that satisfy the analysis and ultimately result in a high-quality presentation of the data that is used in the development of technical solutions to traffic issues. In addition to presenting the method of counting passengers or measuring certain sizes in public city transport, the aim of this paper is to point out the shortcomings in the use of current methods, i.e. the lack of collection of certain data, which prevents the implementation of a high-quality, i.e. precise analysis of transport processes.
