Abstract
Metro sustav je izrazito izdvojeni nadzemno-podzemni podsustav javnog prijevoza putnika koji prvenstveno ima namjeru opsluživati putnike unutar središta grada, iako novi sustavi imaju linije koje se šire u predgrađu. Metro sustav u gradovima uvelike poboljšava mobilnost i kvalitetu života građana, smanjuje prometnu zagušljivost, zagađenost i buku (koja i dalje postoji, ali je općenito manja). Također metro u slučaju podzemne trase ne utječe mnogo na sami izgled grada, dok u slučaju nadzemne trase mnogi ljudi smatraju da su takve nadzemne strukture pozitivan dodatak vizualnom okolišu.
Abstract (english)
Metro system is extremely isolated overground - underground sub-system of public transport of passengers which primarily intends to serve travelers in the center of town , although the new systems have lines that are spread in the suburbs . Metro systems in cities greatly enhances the mobility and quality of life of citizens , reducing stuffiness traffic , pollution and noise ( which still exists , but is generally less ) . Also in the case of underground metro route does not affect much the appearance of the city itself , while in the case of above-ground route , many people find that such overhead structures positive addition to the visual environment .
