Abstract
Obrazovanje ima velik utjecaj na ljudsko ponašanje i djelovanje, što se odražava i na profesionalnom planu. Naposljetku, snažan je društveni čimbenik i pokretač razvoja. Danas za visokim obrazovanjem postoji povećani interes. Visokoobrazovano stanovništvo predstavlja ljudski kapital te je nezaobilazan uvjet ekonomskog i društvenog razvoja zemlje. Na društvenu nejednakost u svim pogledima društvenog života gleda se kao na nešto neizbježno i sveprisutno. Pierre Bourdieu dokazuje da je za neuspjeh radničke klase kriv obrazovni sustav, a ne kultura radničke klase. Obrazovni sustav je neprekidno pristran prema kulturi vladajućih društvenih klasa: on devalvira znanja i umijeća radničke klase. Za Pakulskog i Watersa klasna politika je mrtva, a problemi vezani uz etničku pripadnost, spol, religiju i kulturne razlike odnosno preferencije, su kudikamo važniji. Ljudi su znatno više zainteresirani za očuvanje okoliša nego za borbu za klasne interese.
Abstract (english)
Education has a great influence on human behavior and action, which is reflected in a professional plan. Ultimately, it is a powerful social factor and a driver of development. Today, there is an increased interest in higher education. Higher education represents human capital and is an indispensable condition for the economic and social development of the country. Social inequality in all aspects of social life is viewed as something inevitable and omnipresent. Pierre Bourdieu proves that for the failure of the working class we can blame the education system, not the culture of the working class. The education system is continually biased towards the culture of ruling social classes: it devalues the knowledge and skills of the working class. For Pakulski and Waters, class politics is dead, and problems related to ethnicity, gender, religion and cultural differences or preferences are more important. People are much more interested in preserving the environment than fighting for class interests.
