Abstract
U radu se istražuje utjecaj sporta, točnije nogometa, na političko-socijalne aspekte razvoja latinskoameričkog identiteta te na političke procese u društvu. Glavni predmet proučavanja je povezanost nogometa i politike, kako utječu jedan na drugog i kakve koristi jedan ima od drugog u ostvarenju svojih namjera i ideja. Kroz kratki presjek najznačajnijih država Latinske Amerike, Brazila i Argentine, i njihovog odnosa prema nogometu, rad nastoji istražiti utjecaj koji je nogomet imao na njihov povijesni razvitak i evoluciju kao jedinstvene nacije unutar kulturno i društveno slične regije.
Abstract (english)
Thesis analyzes influence of sport, rather football, towards political and social aspects of development of latinamerican identity and on political processes in society. Main subject of research is connection between football and politics, how they affect one another and how one benefit from another in their fulfilment od intentions and ideas. Through a short section of the most significant countries in Latin America, Argentina i Brazil, and their relationship towards football, thesis seeks to investigate influence that football had on their historical development and evolution as a single nation in the cultural and socially similar region.
