Abstract
Cilj ovog rada jest identifikacija i analiza politika za rješavanje sjevernoirskih sukoba od 1968. do 1998. godine. Utvrđeno je da se radi o smjernicama ili okvirima uspostavljenima unutar organizacije ili zajednice za rješavanje i upravljanje sukobima na sustavan način, u obliku političkih sredstava Ujedinjenog kraljevstva koje su nastale nakon većeg nasilja. Obzirom na kompleksnost sukoba, koji uključuje etničke, religiozne, političke i mnoge druge dimenzije koje su međusobno isprepletene, mir je tijekom trideset godina postignut preko 5 politika: Sunnindaleski sporazum, Ustavna Konvencija, Anglo- irski sporazum, Downing Street Deklaracija i Belfast sporazum. Tijekom vremena su se identificirane politike razvijale kao odgovor na duboko ukorijenjena pitanja koja su potaknula sukob, no sve se računaju kao dio procesa kojim se kontinuirano nadograđivao sustav rješavanja sjevernoirskog sukoba.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this work is to identify and analyze the Northern Ireland conflict resolution policies from 1968 to 1998. They have been identified as guidelines or frameworks established within an organization or community to resolve and manage conflict in a systematic manner, in the form of UK policy instruments that have emerged following major violence. Given the complexity of the conflict, which includes ethnic, religious, political and many other dimensions that are intertwined, peace was achieved over thirty years through 5 policies: the Sunnidale Agreement, the Constitutional Convention, the Anglo-Irish Agreement, the Downing Street Declaration and the Belfast Agreement. Over time, the identified policies have developed in response to the deep-seated issues that fueled the conflict, but they all count as part of a process that has continually built upon the Northern Ireland conflict resolution system.
