Abstract
U radu je opisana financijska infrastruktura – SWIFT – koja služi kao platni sustav između financijskih institucija u svijetu. Naglasak je na njegovoj povezanosti s lociranjem i sankcioniranjem onih subjekata koji se infrastrukturom koriste za financiranje terorizma. Opisana je SWIFT-ova pozicija u geoekonomskom poretku te su prikazani podaci o tome koliko isključivanje iz globalne financijske infrastrukture utječe na ekonomije promatranih zemalja. Fokus je na binarnoj studiji Irana i Sjeverne Koreje, dviju država koje naizgled nemaju dodirnih točaka osim ekonomskih sankcija koje su im nametnute. Rad implicira o (ne)uspješnosti sankcija koje su nametnule Sjedinjene Američke Države te Europska unija.
Abstract (english)
This work describes the financial infrastructure - SWIFT - which serves as a payment system between financial institutions in the world. The emphasis is on its linkage to the location and sanctioning of those entities that use infrastructure to finance terrorism. SWIFT's position in the geo-economic setting is described and data on how much exclusion from the global financial infrastructure affects the economies of the countries surveyed. The focus is on the binary study of Iran and North Korea, two states that seemingly have no touchpoints except the economic sanctions imposed on them. Work implies the (non) success of the sanctions imposed by the United States of America and the European Union.
