Abstract
Klimatske promjene su "sustavna promjena dugoročnog stanja atmosfere tijekom više desetljeća ili duže“ (Center for Climate Change and Health, 2016: 1). Na klimatske promjene utječu, osim prirodnih faktora poput Sunčeva zračenja i vulkanskih erupcija, i ljudski faktori. Najveći utjecaj na klimatske promjene ima ugljični dioksid (CO2), a njegove najveće količine oslobađaju se ljudskim djelovanjem iz fosilnih goriva, poput nafte, ugljena i plina. Također se oslobađaju bušenjem naftnih polja,... More izgradnjom gradova, proizvodnjom električne energije, transportom i ostalim industrijskim procesima. Neke od najvažnijih geografskih posljedica klimatskih promjena su globalno zatopljenje, nestašica vode, promjene obrazaca padalina, otapanje ledenjaka i podizanje razine mora. Imaju značajan utjecaj i na životinje, poljoprivredu, pašnjake, šume, ekosustave i slično. Takve geografske posljedice klimatskih promjena dovode do posljedica na geopolitičkoj slici svijeta. Globalnim zatopljenjem dolazi do otapanja ledenjaka i širenja mora, čime se podiže njegova razina. Podizanje razine mora za samo nekoliko metara može dovesti do potapanja obalnih gradova i uništenja zaliha pitke vode miješanjem slane i slatke vode. Također, podizanjem temperatura dolazi do prebrzog isparavanja vode i otapanja snijega na površini koji natapaju zemlju, te dolazi do isušivanja poljoprivrednih zemljišta. Kao posljedica toga nestaju zalihe hrane. Takvi događaji poput nestanka obalnih područja i nestanka zaliha hrane dovode do pitanja gdje će živjeti ljudi čija su područja i uvjeti za život uništeni. Tu se kao jedno od važnih geopolitičkih pitanja javlja problem migracija. U slučaju da zemlje ne uspiju dogovoriti mirno rješavanje tog problema, opasnost koja slijedi su nasilni sukobi i ratovi koji bi mogli promijeniti geopolitičku sliku svijeta. Less
Abstract (english)
Climate changes are „a systematic change of long-term atmosphere for several decades or longer“ (Center for Climate Change and Health, 2016: 1). Climate change affects, apart from natural factors such as solar radiation and volcanic eruptions, humas factors. The greatest impact on climate change in carbon dioxide (CO2), and its largest quantities are released by human activity from fossile fuels such as petroleum, coal and gas. They are also liberate by drilling oil fields, building... More cities, producing electricity, transport and other industrial processes. Some of the most important geographical consequences of climate change are global warming, water shortages, rainfall modification, glacial erosion and sea level rise. They have a significant impact on animals, agriculture, pastures, forests, ecosystems and others. Such geographical consequences of climate change lead to consequences on the geopolitical image of the world. Global warming causes melting glaciers and spreading the sea, raising its level. Raising the sea level in just a few meters can lead to the seizure of coastal towns and the destruction of potable water by mixing salty and fresh water. Also, raising the temperature causes the rapid evaporation of water and the dissolving of snow on the soil surface, and drainage of agricultural land. As a result, food supplies disappear. Such events, such as the disappearance of coastal areas and the disappearance of food supplies, raise questions where people will live when areas and living conditions are destroyed. One of the important geopolitical issues here is the problem of migration. In case when countries fail to agree on a peaceful solution to this problem, the danger that follows is violent clashes and wars that could change the geopolitical picture of the world. Less
