Abstract
Mediji su danas konstantno pod povećalom zbog mnogih trendova koji ih prate što dovodi do pada povjerenja u iste. “Lažne vijesti” su samo jedan od problema zbog kojih se današnje novinarstvo našlo u krizi. To su namjerno objavljene lažne informacije koje služe kako bi obmanuli publiku, a najčešće nastaju zbog profita koje donose zbog svoje popularnosti ili kako bi nekoga ocrnili, a nekoga pokazali u lažnom pozitivnom svjetlu. Termin “lažne vijesti” sve je više politiziran te ga svatko koristi na svoj način. Istraživanje prikazano u ovom radu donosi pregled članaka dva portala koji su prikupljeni s obzirom na određene uvjete koje su morali zadovoljiti te pregled objava Donalda Trumpa na njegovom Twitter profilu koji su isto tako prikupljeni s obzirom na određene uvjete koje su morali zadovoljiti. CNN predstavlja mainstrem medije dok Breitbart News, koji je priklonjen Trumpu, predstavlja alt-right medije. Oba portala najčešće koriste termin “lažne vijesti” kad je u pitanju neka lažna informacija, a pokazalo se i da izvori tih “lažnih vijesti” su najčešće mainstream mediji. Američki predsjednik Donald Trump popularizirao je termin u posljednje dvije godine tako što kad god mainstream mediji objave vijest koja je negativna po njega, on iste proziva na svom Twitter profilu da u javnost puštaju “lažne vijesti”. Samim time utječe na razmišljanja javnosti i dovodi do pada povjerenja u medije. Osobe kao predsjednici i državni dužnosnici koji imaju veliki ugled sve češće koriste termin “lažne vijesti” kako bi diskreditirali medije, a sebe postavili kao izvor istinitih informacija iako su često upravo oni kreatori “lažnih vijesti”.
Abstract (english)
Today, the media is constantly under review due to the many trends that follow it, which leads to a decline in the trust in the same. “Fake news” is just one of the problems because of which today’s journalism is in crisis. “Fake news” is deliberately published false information that serves to mislead the public and often arise because of the profits they bring for their popularity, to make someone look bad or to show someone in a positive light. The term "fake news" is increasingly politicized and everyone is using it in its own way. The research presented in this paper brings an overview of the two different sets of data that were collected respecting certain conditions that they had to meet and a review of Donald Trump’s posts on his Twitter account, which were also collected respecting certain conditions. CNN represents the mainstream media while Breitbart News, which is very close to Trump, represents the alt-right media. Both portals often use the term "fake news" when it comes to false information and it has also been shown that the sources of these "fake news" are most commonly the mainstream media. The US President Donald Trump has popularized the term over the last two years, so whenever a mainstream media publishes a news that is negative to him, he proclaims on his Twitter profile that "fake news" is being released to the public. This affects the thinking of the public and leads to a decline in public’s trust in the media. People like presidents and government officials that have strong reputation increasingly use the term "fake news" to discredit the media and set themselves as a source of true information, even though they are often the "fake news" creators.
