Abstract
Analizom sadržaja tekstova objavljenih u jednomjesečnom razdoblju u rubrikama crne kronike na portalima jutarnji.hr i večernji.hr, istraženo je u kojoj se mjeri u njima poštuju etička načela i pravila. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da portal večernji.hr izvještava etičnije od portala jutarnji.hr. Pošto su potvrđene sve četiri postavljene pomoćne hipoteze  portal jutarnji.hr češće koristi senzacionalističke i/ili clickbait naslove od portala večernji.hr, portal jutarnji.hr češće koristi neslužbene i/ili anonimne informacije od portala večernji.hr, portal jutarnji.hr češće izravno ili posredno otkriva identitet žrtve od portala večernji.hr, portal jutarnji.hr češće izravno ili posredno otkrije identitet žrtve koja je maloljetnik ili mlađi punoljetnik  u potpunosti je potvrđena i glavna hipoteza koja tvrdi da portal večernji.hr izvještava etičnije od portala jutarnji.hr. U svakom dijelu istraživanja portal večernji.hr je pokazao veću ozbiljnost i etičnost od portala jutarnji.hr.
Abstract (english)
In this paper I analyse Crime & Accidents sections of online news portals jutarnji.hr and vecernji.hr during a one month period using the content analysis method in order to explore the level of journalist ethics in reporting. The main hypotheses is that vecernji.hr has a higher level of journalist ethics than jutarnji.hr. There are also four auxiliary hypotheses: jutarnji.hr uses more sensationalist and clickbait titles for their articles that vecernji.hr, jutarnji.hr uses unofficial or anonymus sources more than vecernji.hr, jutarnji.hr reveals the identity of the victims more often than vecernji.hr, jutarnji.hr reveals the identity of minors than vecernji.hr. The main hypothesis, as well as all four auxiliary hypotheses are confirmed in the analysis, which leads to the conclusion that vecernji.hr uses higher standards of ethics in journalism than jutarnji.hr.
