Abstract
Argentina kao druga najveća država Latinske Amerike predstavlja neiscrpan izvor tema za znanstvena istraživanja. Kroz povijest, tu je državu obilježio niz promjena režima i oblika vlasti. U tom kontekstu, razdoblje kirchnerizma kojim se ovaj rad bavi, kao razdoblje svojevrsne populističke vladavine, nedvojbeno je obilježilo Argentinu na početku 21. stoljeća. Gotovo dvanaest godina državom su vladali supružnici Nestor Kirchner i Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. Njihove mandate obilježilo je vješto manevriranje u vanjskoj politici, korištenje svim sredstvima državne vlasti u svrhu osiguranja potpore građana i specifičan način upravljanja državom donošenjem niza predsjedničkih uredbi. Na taj način provodili su i reforme argentinskog obavještajnog sustava. S obzirom na to da obavještajne službe predstavljaju jedan od ključnih dijelova sustava nacionalne sigurnosti, nužno je da se reforme u tom sustavu provode transparentno. Jedan od ključnih aktera koji bi trebali osigurati transparentnost tog procesa svakako su i mediji. Stoga se u ovom radu pokušava dati odgovor na pitanje jesu li reforme obavještajnog sustava u razdoblju kirchnerizma išle u smjeru demokratizacije ili politizacije sustava odnosno je li medijsko izvještavanje o reformama imalo utjecaja na demokratizaciju argentinskog obavještajnog sustava.
Abstract (english)
Argentina as the second largest Latin American country represents an inexhaustible source for scientific research. Throughout history, this country has been marked by a series of changes of regime and form of government. In this context, the period of Kirchnerism that deals with this work, as a period of sort of populist rule undoubtedly marked Argentina at the beginning of the 21st century. For nearly twelve years, spouses Nestor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner ruled the state. Their mandates were characterized by clever maneuvering in foreign policy, using all government resources to provide citizens support and a specific way of managing the state by adopting a series of presidential decrees. In the same way, they also carried out the reforms of the Argentine intelligence system. Given that intelligence services are one of the key components of the national security system, it is essential that reforms in this system are carried out transparently. One of the key actors that should ensure the transparency of this process is certainly the media. Therefore, this paper tries to answer the question of whether the reforms of the intelligence system in the period of Kirchnerism were going in the direction of the democratization or politicization of the system, or whether media reporting on reforms has had an impact on the democratization of the Argentine intelligence system.
