According to the rulebook about the technical conditions of vehicles in traffic on the roads, the single-axle three-way tipper tractor trailer capacity of 6 tons intended for tractors with a power of 30 to 55 kW belongs to the Ra3 category. The dimensions, total weight, axle load, devices and equipment that the said trailer must have and conditions that must be met by the devices and equipment of the said trailer in road traffic are prescribed for the specified category of trailer. In this paper, an analysis of the existing solutions on the market was made, after which the requirements that the mentioned trailer must meet were defined. Based on the defined requirements, a functional structure and a morphological matrix were created from which three concepts were obtained, after which the criteria for evaluating the concepts were determined and the most suitable trailer concept was selected. A design development was created for the selected concept. At the beginning of the design development, the boundary conditions that condition the dimensions, material and technology of the trailer are defined. Design development is accompanied by sketches, calculations and appropriate analyzes based on which standard parts are selected and non-standard parts are designed and dimensioned. The final solution of the trailer was modeled in the SolidWorks 2020 software tool, in which the technical documentation was also created. A 3D model of the trailer and its function are shown.
