Abstract
Ovaj završni rad usmjeren je na razvoj sustava pametne kuće koji koristi suvremene IoT tehnologije. Jezgra sustava temelji se na operacijskom sustavu Home Assistant, s integriranim računalnim vidom u obliku programa za prepoznavanje lica. Sustav za prepoznavanje lica komunicira s platformom pametne kuće putem MQTT protokola. U radu se objašnjavaju koncepti računalnog vida i prepoznavanja lica te se pruža konkretno programsko rješenje. Sustav je testiran na Raspberry Pi računalu, koje komunicira s Home Assistantom putem MQTT protokola. Također, unutar Home Assistanta razvijeno je korisnički intuitivno grafičko sučelje za upravljanje okruženjem pametne kuće. Sustav je testiran u realnim uvjetima, čime je potvrđena njegova praktičnost i funkcionalnost.
Abstract (english)
This paper focuses on the development of a smart home system, leveraging modern IoT technologies. The core of the system is based on the Home Assistant operating system, with integrated computer vision capabilities in the form of a facial recognition program. The facial recognition system communicates with the smart home platform via the MQTT protocol, ensuring seamless interaction. This paper explains the concepts of computer vision and facial recognition while providing a detailed software solution. The system was tested on a Raspberry Pi, which communicates with Home Assistant using the MQTT protocol. Additionally, a user-friendly graphical interface for managing the smart home environment was developed within the Home Assistant framework. The system was tested under real-world conditions, ensuring its practicality and functionality.
