Abstract
Ovaj rad bavi se obradom danas vrlo aktualnog problema utjecaja automobilske industrije i transportnog sektora na okoliš, točnije utjecaja električnih naspram konvencionalnih automobila s motorom s unutarnjim izgaranjem (MSUI). Predstavljena je analiza ugljičnog otiska proizvodnje, korištenja kao i recikliranja prosječnog električnog naspram konvencionalnog automobila. Analiza ugljičnog otiska električnih vozila fokusirana je na emisije povezane s proizvodnjom litij-ionskih baterija, njihovim recikliranjem te energijom potrebnom za punjenje s posebnim naglaskom na ugljični otisak procesa dobivanja električne energije elektroenergetskih mreža. S druge strane analiza vozila s motorom s unutarnjim izgaranjem bazirana je na emisijama izgaranja goriva kao i proizvodnje ovakvih automobila.
Abstract (english)
This paper addresses the highly relevant issue of the impact of the automotive industry and the transport sector on the environment, specifically the impact of electric versus conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. It presents an analysis of the carbon footprint of the production, use, and recycling of an average electric versus conventional vehicle. The carbon footprint analysis of electric vehicles focuses on emissions related to the production of lithium-ion batteries, their recycling, and the energy required for charging, with a special emphasis on the carbon footprint of electricity generation processes in power grids. On the other hand, the analysis of internal combustion engine vehicles is based on fuel combustion emissions as well as the production of these vehicles.
