Abstract
U radu je opisana povijest primjene kompozita ojačanih vlaknima u automobilskoj industriji od 1940-tih godina pa sve do danas. Navedene su prednosti i nedostaci primjene ugljičnih vlakana kao ojačala, kao i primjeri primjene. Opisane su danas poznate metode izrade ugljičnih vlakana, metode izrade kompozita ojačanih vlaknima te podjela ugljičnih vlakana. Navedene su i mogućnosti recikliranja kompozita ojačanih ugljičnih vlaknima na kraju životnog vijeka.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this final paper is „Application of carbon fibers reinforced composites in car production“. This paper describes history of application carbon fibers reinforced composites in car production since 1940s until today. The advantages and disadvantages of application carbon fiber as reinforcement are listed, and are listed examples of application. The methods of making carbon fibers are described, methods of production carbon fiber reinforced composites are described too and classification of carbon fibers. The issue of recycling carbon fiber reinforced composites at the end of the life time is listed.
