Abstract
U radu je analiziran utjecaj debljine stijenke odljevka na mehanička svojstva nodularnog lijeva. Rad se sastoji od dva dijela: teorijskog i eksperimentalnog. U teorijskom dijelu ukratko su objašnjena svojstva i primjena nodularnog lijeva. Također je prikazana i klasifikacija nodularnog lijeva, njegovo skrućivanje te utjecaj kemijskog sastava i mikrostrukture na mehanička svojstva lijeva. U radu su također prikazani rezultati proučavanja mehanizama tvorbe chunky grafita te utjecajni faktori koji potpomažu njegovu tvorbu. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada ispitivan je utjecaj debljine stijenke na morfologiju grafita i mehanička svojstva odljevaka od nodularnog lijeva kvalitete EN – GJS - 400 – 18. Odliveni su valjak dimenzija Ø 200 mm x 300 mm i Y – probe debljine stijenke 25 mm i 75 mm. Iz odlivenog valjka pripremljeni su po jedan uzorak za metalografska ispitivanja i ispitivanja mehaničkih svojstava. Za ispitivanje mehaničkih svojstava, iz Y- probe debljine 25 mm pripremljen je jedan uzorak, a iz Y- probe debljine 75 mm pripremljena su četiri uzorka. Na pripremljenim uzorcima provedena su metalografska ispitivanja i ispitivanja mehaničkih svojstava. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata metalografskih ispitivanja i ispitivanja mehaničkih svojstava utvrđeno je da s porastom debljine stijenke odljevka dolazi do pojave nepoželjnog oblika degeneriranog grafita- chunky grafita, koji rezultira padom mehaničkih svojstava, vlačne čvrstoće i istezljivosti, dok na granicu razvlačenja pojava chunky grafita nema gotovo nikakav utjecaj.
Abstract (english)
This paper analyzes the influence of wall thickness on mechanical properties of ductile iron casting. It is composed of two parts: theoretical and experimental. In theoretical part properties and application are briefly discussed. There is a overview of ductile iron classification, its solidification and the influence of chemical composition and microstructure on mechanical properties. This paper also gives an overview of the results of studying the mechanisms of formation chunky graphite and influential factors that promote its formation. In the experimental part influence of different wall thickness and graphite morphology on ductile iron quality EN GJS 400 - 18 were tested. Cylinder Ø 200 mm x 300 mm and Y – probes 25 and 75 mm were casted. Two samples, one for metallographic tests and one for mechanical tests were prepared from molded cylinder. Also, one sample from Y- probes 25 mm and four samples from Y- probes 75 mm, were prepaired for mechanical tests. Metallographic and mechanical testing were performed on that test samples. On the basis of the obtained results from metallographic and mechanical tests, it was shown that the wall thickness increasement affects on formation of chunky graphite. Chunky graphite causes drop in tensile strength and elongation. Yield strength doesn't depend on the occurrence of chunky graphite.
