Corrosion is a process of unintended wear of construction material under chemical, physical and biological environmental conditions. In order to protect the construction materials from corrosion or to minimize corrosion, there are different methods of protection. One of the protection methods is application of corrosion inhibitors. Corrosion inhibitors are substances of inorganic or organic origin which, at very low concentrations, reduce corrosion rates to technologically acceptable values. The growing need for temporary protection of construction materials during their transport or storage has resulted in the development of liquid inhibitors which are applied to the metal in the form of wet film. Graduate thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and experimental. Theoretical part of the paper lists corrosion protection methods. Each method of protection is briefly described, while a special chapter is devoted to protection against corrosion by applying liquid corrosion inhibitors. In addition, the areas of application of the inhibitors are described and electrochemical examinations of corrosion inhibition effectiveness are described in the experimental part. In the introduction to the experimental part of the work, the inhibitors that will be tested during the work are listed and some of its basic properties are given. Accelerated corrosion tests in salt spray and humidity chamber and electrochemical tests were performed to analyze the efficiency of liquid inhibitors. From the electrochemical tests, Tafel's extrapolation and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were performed. At the end of the experimental part, an inhibitor cleaning test was performed.
