Abstract
Sve veći udio varijabilnih obnovljvih izvora u elektroenergetskom sustavu te zahtjevi za ograničenje CO2 emisija značajno mijenjaju način vođenja postojećih postrojenja u elektroenergetskom i toplinarskom sustavu. Kako sektor grijanja zauzima veliki udio u ukupnom broju emisija, potrebno je pronaći opcije koje će pridonijeti njihovom smanjenju. Uz to, navedena varijabilnost i sve veća zastupljenost obnovljivih izvora energije smanjuje broj radnih sati konvencionalnim postrojenjima. Budući da se potpuni prelazak na obnovljive izvore energije i izbacivanje fosilnih ne može dogoditi naglo, u ovom vremenu energetske tranzicije je potrebno pronaći rješenja i osigurati veću fleksibilnost postojećih postrojenja kako bi se zadržala njihova konkurentnost. U ovom radu je analizirano ponašanje sustava daljinskog grijanja koje uključuje tri različita tipa toplinskih izvora; kogeneracijsko postrojenje, dizalice topline i plinske kotlove. Uspoređene su tri različite strategije vođenja s ciljem postizanja što nižih troškova odnosno većeg profita. Strategije vođenja su redom bile zasnovane na različitim cjenovnim pragovima, na matematičkoj optimizaciji pogona s toplinskim spremnikom dok se u posljednjoj optimirao pogon s velikim toplinskim spremnikom, toplovodnom mrežom ustava daljinskog grijanja. Nadalje, iste te strategije su uspoređene i za slučaj povećanja cijena električne energije na veleprodajnom tržištu. Uz to je prije samih simulacija proračunat profil toplinskog opterećenja te cijene električne energije kako bi se mogao odabrati vremenski period za koji će se provesti simulacija. Na posljetku su izračunati prihodi i rashodi za svaku razmatranu strategiju te je iznijeta njihova analiza i usporedba.
Abstract (english)
Growing share of variable renewable sources in the electricity system and the requirements for CO2 emissions reduction significantly affect existing plants in the electricity and heating system. As the heating sector accounts for a large share of the total number of emissions, it is necessary to find solutions that will contribute to their reduction. Moreover, this variability and the increasing portion of renewable energy sources reduces the number of operating hours of conventional plants. Since the complete transition to renewable energy and fossil fuels be implemented abruptly, it is necessary to find solutions and ensure greater flexibility of existing plants in order to maintain their competitiveness in the ongoing energy transition. This thesis analyzes the behavior of a district heating system that includes three different types of heat sources; cogeneration plant, heat pumps and gas boilers. Additionally, a comparison of three different operating strategies was made with in order to achieve the lowest possible costs and higher profits. Strategies were based as follows: on electricity price thresholds, on linear programming and the latter included a large heat tank represented by the district heating network. Furthermore, same strategies were simulated in the case of an increase in wholesale market electricity price. In addition, as a basis for simulations, the heat load profile and electricity prices were calculated in order to select the time period for which the simulation was be performed. Finally, revenue and expenses were calculated, and their analysis and comparison presented.
