In this paper, a review is made of the literature and requirements for pallet carriers, and a review of existing solutions with similar parameters. Some concepts with certain construction solutions were considered and subsequently evaluated, and the most favorable concept was selected. Furthermore, different variants of walking mechanisms and their advantages and disadvantages are considered. After that, different variants of the Strider walking mechanism were considered, and the loci of different subvariants of the same were investigated. The constructional elaboration of the selected transport transmission concept was carried out, and the calculation of the receiving device, the lifting system, the calculation of the inverse pulley and the selection of the lifting chain were performed. Furthermore, a FEM analysis of the carrier frame of the transport gear in the Solidworks Simulation software package was performed. Then, the simulation of the movement of the walking mechanism in the software package Solidworks Motion was performed, and the selection of the drive chain and motor for the transport gear was performed. Reactions in the assumed most loaded links of the walking mechanism were checked. Subsequently, the bearings and shafts in the joints were inspected at the most loaded places. Finally, an overview of the construction solution is given by projections from the Solidworks software package and a schematic drawing of the same.
