Abstract
U ovom radu opisana su opća svojstva aluminija i njegovih legura. Iako aluminij u odnosu na druge metale ima puno prednosti, poseban je naglasak stavljen na njegov osnovni nedostatak, a to je njegova relativno niska čvrstoća. Općenito se niska čvrstoća aluminija može poboljšati legiranjem. Danas postoji više od 500 različitih aluminijevih legura. Sve aluminijeve legure moguće je podijeliti na toplinski očvrstive i toplinski neočvrstive. Željena svojstva toplinski neočvrstivih legura mogu se postići legiranjem manganom, magnezijem, željezom ili silicijem. Za očvršćivanje preostalih aluminijevih legura koristi se mehanizam očvrsnuća hladnom deformacijom ili precipitacijom. Precipitacijsko očvrsnuće ostvaruje se postupkom rastvornog žarenja i dozrijevanja. Ovi mehanizmi očvrsnuća koriste se i u raznim kombinacijama za postizanje čim više vrijednosti čvrstoće. U radu su također navedeni načini podjele aluminijevih legura i svojstva osnovnih skupina.
Abstract (english)
In this bachelor thesis general properties of aluminium and aluminium alloys were described. Although aluminum has a lot of advantages over other metals, special emphasis is put on its own deficiency and that is low strenght. Low aluminium strength can generally be modified by the alloying process using different elements. Today, we have over 500 different aluminium alloys. Aluminium alloys are classified into two groups: non-heat treatable aluminium alloys and heat treatable aluminum alloys. The optimal properties of non-heat treatable aluminium alloys can usually be obtained by alloying with manganese, magnesium, iron or silicon. The strength of some aluminium alloys can be improved using cold deformation or precipitation hardening. Precipitation hardening is achived during homogenization and aging heat treatment. These strengthening mechanisms are used in various combinations to achive greather strength. In this work, the classification of aluminium alloys and properties of basic grups were also described.
