Abstract
U ovom radu ukratko su opisane metode aditivne proizvodnje, te su kroz medij 3D printanja istražene mogućnosti oporabe polimera. Uz postupke aditivne proizvodnje u ovom radu su također opisane vrste polimera, polimeri korišteni u aditivnoj proizvodnji te mogućnost primjene recikliranih polimera u aditivnoj proizvodnji, kao i način dobivanja filamenta za 3D printanje. U eksperimentalnom dijelu ovog rada nastojalo se usporediti rastezne čvrstoće recikliranog i izvornog polimera pod nazivom polilaktična kiselina (PLA) na epruvetama dobivenim 3D printanjem. Usporedbom rezultata dvaju ispitivanja, te na temelju informacija danih u teorijskom dijelu rada, u zaključku se raspravlja o prikladnosti recikliranja polimera kao načina zbrinjavanja polimernog otpada u kontekstu aditivne proizvodnje, ali i šire.
Abstract (english)
This thesis concisely describes methods of 3D printing, and investigates the possibilities of polymer recovery through the 3D printing technologies. Types of polymers, polymers used in additive manufacturing, the possibilities of using recycled polymers in 3D printing and the production of filaments for use in 3D printing is also described. The experimental part of the thesis examines the flexural strength of recycled and virgin 3D printed PLA. The results are compared and discussed, alongside the information given in the theoretical part of the thesis, in order to establish whether recycling is suitable as part of the solution for polymer waste management in terms of additive manufacturing, and in general.
