Abstract
Glavni cilj ovog rada bio je provesti karakterizaciju TiN prevlake na uzorcima od titanijeve legure i utvrditi koji postupci pripreme rezultiraju najboljim svojstvima prevlake u smislu prionjivosti, tvrdoće i otpornosti na koroziju. U teorijskom dijelu rada opisana su svojstva titanija i njegovih legura, posebice legure Ti6Al4V. Navedena su područja primjene i objašnjeni su parametri toplinske obrade titanijevih legura. Nadalje, dan je pregled postupaka inženjerstva površina s posebnim naglaskom na kemijsko prevlačenje u parnoj fazi. Objašnjen je postupak plazmom potpomognutog kemijskog prevlačenja iz parne faze i zbog čega je superioran sličnim postupcima. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada naveden je način pripreme uzoraka prije prevlačenja. Uzorci su prevučeni slojem TiN postupkom PACVD. Izmjerena je hrapavost uzoraka prije i nakon prevlačenja te je ispitivan kut kvašenja. Izmjerena je tvrdoća uzoraka, debljina prevlake i kategorija prionjivosti. Provedena su elektrokemijska ispitivanja korozijskih svojstava. Utvrđeno je da različiti postupci pripreme uzoraka utječu ponajviše na vrijednosti nanotvrdoće i debljine prevlake.
Abstract (english)
The main goal of this paper was to perform TiN coating characterization on titanium alloy samples and to determine which pre-treatment methods result in the best properties regarding coating adhesion, hardness and corrosion resistance. In the theoretical part, properties of titanium and titanium alloys were described, particularly ones of Ti6Al4V alloy. Application of titanium alloys and parameters for heat treatment were also explained in the theoretical part. Furthermore, surface engineering methods were mentioned with emphasis on chemical vapour deposition procedures. It is explained why PACVD is superior to similar processes. Different samples and pre-treatment methods were listed in the experimental part. Samples were coated with TiN layer using PACVD. Surface roughness was measured before and after coating procedure, alongside with contact angle. Measurements of hardness, coating thickness and adhesion were carried out. Corrosion properties were tested using electrochemical methods. It is determined that different pre-treatment methods affect coating properties, mostly hardness and coating thickness.
