Computed tomography is the non-destructive testing method based on the collection of two-dimensional projections of the measuring object during its rotation around the axis. In the computer system of CT devices, measured data are collected, and the reconstruction of three-dimensional volume is performed using reconstruction algorithms. The emphasis of this thesis is put on the open-source reconstruction algorithms, whose applicability was performed on real data, measured on a CT device in the Laboratory for Precise Length Measurements at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb. In the first, introductory chapter a general overview of the of computed tomography and reconstruction algorithms is given. The second chapter outlines detailed mathematical model on which the reconstruction algorithms are based. An analysis of each algorithm efficiency was performed as well, and afterwards, comparison was presented. In the third chapter, open-source ASTRA Toolbox was presented and insight into the syntax required for the reconstruction of two-dimensional and three-dimensional view using available reconstruction algorithms is given. Chapter four contains the reconstruction results and their interpretation based on the comparison of results, but also insight into ASTRA Toolbox open-source reconstruction algorithms applicability to real data. Finally, the fifth chapter gives a conclusion based on the results presented in the fourth chapter.
