Abstract
Fosilna su goriva imala jednu od najvažnijih uloga u oblikovanju suvremenog svijeta. Prva industrijska revolucija, oslanjajući se primarno na fosilna goriva, ostvarila je globalni ekonomski napredak te je postavila temelj modernog društva. Fosilna goriva s gotovo 80 postotnim udjelom trenutačno su primaran izvor energije. Njihovim izgaranjem nastaju plinovi kao što su ugljikov dioksid, monoksid te sumporov dioksid. Kontinuirano oslanjanje na fosilna goriva ostavilo je traga u ekosustavu pa je iz tih razloga od iznimne važnosti posegnuti prema istraživanju i razvoju alternativa koja mogu smanjiti ugljikov otisak na Zemlji. Jedna od tih mogućnosti, radi svojih čišćih i održivijih svojstava, je ukapljeni naftni plin (UNP). Tematika ovog završnog rada su svestrane tehnike korištenja ukapljenog naftnog plina, koji kao prijelazni izvor energije nudi brojne prednosti na putu prema klimatskoj neutralnosti.
Abstract (english)
Fossil fuels have played one of the most important roles in shaping the modern world. The first industrial revolution, relying primarily on fossil fuels, achieved global economic progress and laid the foundation of modern society. Fossil fuels with an almost 80 percent share are currently the primary source of energy. Their combustion produces gases such as carbon dioxide, monoxide and sulfur dioxide. The continuous reliance on fossil fuels has left its mark on the ecosystem, so for these reasons it is extremely important to reach out for research and development of alternatives that can reduce the carbon footprint on Earth. One of these possibilities, due to its cleaner and more sustainable properties, is liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The topic of this thesis is the versatile techniques of using liquefied petroleum gas, which, as a transitional energy source, offers numerous advantages on the way to climate neutrality.
