Abstract
Predmet ovog diplomskog rada je konstrukcija uljevnog sustava za zadani odljevak tlačnog lijeva te njegova simulacija u programskom paketu ProCAST. Dan je kratki osvrt na tehnologiju tlačnog lijevanja, njezinu primjenu te važnost i način funkcije te konstrukcije alata. Navedene su legure za tlačni lijev te su prikazane najčešće greške koje se pojavljuju kod tlačnog lijeva. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada za spojnicu od aluminijeve legure (AlSi12) konstruiran je kompletan uljevni sustav (negativ kalupne šupljine) sa svim dijelovima potrebnima za pravilnu izvedbu lijevanja te je shodno tome izvršena simulacija lijevanja. Simulacija prikazuje rezultate kao što su formiranje vala u prvoj fazi popunjavanja kalupne šupljine, gibanje taljevine u drugoj fazi, brzinu taljevine na ušću, temperaturu taljevine pri početku i kraju ulijevanja, zarobljene okside te zrak u odljevku i dužinu puta taljevine. Također su prikazani udjeli krute faze i rezultirajuće nastale poroznosti u odljevku te su dane neke potencijalne mjere sigurnosti kako bi se nastale greške izbjegle.
Abstract (english)
The subject of this master's thesis is the construction of a gating system for high pressure die casting and casting simulation in the ProCAST software package. A brief overview of the high pressure die casting technology, its applications and the importance and functioning of the gating system construction is provided. The alloys for pressure die casting are mentioned and the most common defects occurring in high pressure die casting are presented. In the experimental part of the thesis, a complete gating system (negative mold cavity) for an aluminum alloy coupling (AlSi12) was constructed, including all the necessary parts for the proper casting performance. Consequently, a casting simulation was carried out. The simulation gives results such as the formation of a wave in the first stage of mold cavity filling, movement of molten metal in the second stage, molten metal velocity at the inlet, molten metal temperature at the beginning and at the end of pouring, trapped oxides and air in the casting and the length of the molten metal path. Finally, the fractions of the solid phase and resulting porosity in the casting were shown, along with some potential safety measures to avoid the occurrence of defects.
