Abstract
Booking.com, TripAdvisor i Airbnb su je najveći, najpoznatiji i najkorišteniji globalni online rezervacijski sustavi s milijunima putnika koji ih posjećuju svakog mjeseca kako bi istraživali i isplanirali savršeno putovanje. Osim za rezervacije smještajnih objekata nude mogućnost ostavljanja recenzija na razne smještajne i ugostiteljske objekte, destinacije, atrakcije i slično. Također, nudi i mogućnost objavljivanja vlastitih fotografija onoga za što gost ostavlja recenziju, što budućem gostu može biti od velike pomoći pri konačnom odabiru. Sve ovo, i još mnogo više nude navedeni portali, a detaljnije je obrađeno u nastavku rada. Uz mogućnosti i funkcije koje nude TripAdvisor, Booking.com i Airbnb u radu je obrađena i uloga recenzija Booking.com-a i TripAdvisora odnosno kako te iste recenzije utječu na booking velikih hotela. Kroz anketno istraživanje provedeno na internetu, sudjelovalo je 303 ispitanika te je obrađeno 33 pitanja vezanih za korisnikove navike putovanja te stavove o recenzijama. Analizom ankete utvrđeno je kako su korisnicima portala recenzije korisne, pogotovo one koje su nedavno napisane, te kako više vjeruju recenzijama korisnika nego opisu hotelskih usluga i obraćaju pažnju na hotele koji ima više pozitivnih recenzija. Razvojem interneta te informacijsko – komunikacijske tehnologije, a samim time i razvojem raznih web stranica i aplikacija, turizam je dobio novu dimenziju.
Abstract (english)
Booking.com, TripAdvisor and Airbnb are the largest, most prominent and most visited global online booking systems. Millions of travellers visit them every month in order to gather information and plan a perfect trip. In addition to the service of booking and reviewing accommodation, they offer an option of reviewing various eating and drinking establishments, destinations, tourist attractions, etc. Moreover, they offer the guest the service of posting photographs of the reviewed establishment. The photographs can be of great help to the potential guest with their final decision. These are only some of the services that will be elaborated upon in the body of the thesis. Apart from examining uses of TripAdvisor, Booking.com and Airbnb, the thesis also discusses the effect of Booking.com and TripAdvisor reviews on the booking of large hotels. Online survey comprised 33 questions and was conducted among 303 participants to evaluate consumers’ travel habits and opinions on the reviews. The analysis of the survey indicated that the consumers of the booking systems found the reviews rather useful, particularly the recent ones. Furthermore, they gave more merit to user reviews than general description of hotel services and were focused on hotels that had been more positively reviewed. The development of the Internet and other types of information and communication technology (ICT) warranted the foundation of various websites and apps, elevating tourism to another level.
