Abstract | Tema ovog završnog rada je Organizacija prometa u Dubrovniku u funkciji razvoja turizma,
i infrastrukture.
nedostatka parkirnih mjesta, uskih grla prometa, nedovoljno razvijenog javnog prijevoza,
lošeg upravljanja destinacijom u smislu kruzing turizma, nepostojanja zelenih alternativa u
Kroz zadnje poglavlje i
zaključak iznesene su nove ideje i potencijalna rješenja čija implementacija ovisi o primjeni
strategija razvoja.
bilo u službi razvoja odgovarajućeg, pametnog i dostatnog prometa. |
Abstract (english) | The topic of this final thesis is the traffic organization in Dubrovnik aimed at tourism
development. Throughout the five chapters, it explains the tourist offer of Dubrovnik, its
position in the global and Croatian tourist market, and lists all the important qualitative and
quantitative characteristics of the destination. The description of the importance of available
resources and the ways they are managed is followed by an analysis of the traffic
accessibility, organization, and infrastructure, which are the main challenges of the
destination. The thesis then deals with the problem of isolation and separation of Dubrovnik
from the rest of the Croatia, but also Dubrovnik’s internal challenges of supporting tourist
capacities which are burdening an already insufficient infrastructure during the summer
season. Describing the capacities of traffic supply, the thesis then indicates the disproportion
of transport demand to the transport supply, and considers the lack of parking spaces, traffic
bottlenecks, underdeveloped public transport, poor destination management in terms of
cruising tourism, lack of green alternatives in transport and poor organization by the
authorities and responsible institutions. Furthermore, the thesis mentions the idea of
constructing a highway that would connect the cities of Zagreb and Dubrovnik, and the
importance – as well as the challenges – of the construction of the Dubrovnik-Airport
highway, whose significance is especially highlighted by the fact that the majority of tourists
come to Dubrovnik by plain. One of the most important projects in terms of concretization of
traffic connections is the construction of the Pelješac Bridge, as a long-term solution to
connect the County into a meaningful whole. Both the last chapter and the conclusion offer
new ideas and a potential solution, whose implementation depends on the application of the
development strategies. This is followed by a personal reflection, proposing the
reorganization of traffic routes, highlighting modern traffic solutions, intermodality, and the
establishment of competent authorities that would serve the development of an adequate,
smart, and sufficient transport. |
