Abstract
Hrvatska nudi velik broj hotela koji postaju sve brojniji i brojniji. Hoteli ne nude samo smještaj poput kreveta, već puno više od toga, cijeli niz sadržaja i aktivnosti. U hotelijerstvu je jako bitan i marketing, on uvelike utječe na to kako će koji hotel poslovati. Konkurencija je jako velika pa je potrebno biti uporan i snalažljiv u vođenju cijelog hotela. Bitna je i kategorizacija hotela, koliko hotel ima zvjezdica. Standardi su hotelima u Hrvatskoj dali svoj identitet, postali su prepoznatljivi u cijelom svijetu te se stoga neki gosti stalno i vraćaju. Svako mjesto ima svoju čar, no naravno uz izgled hotela i aktivnosti koje on nudi, jako je bitna komunikacija sa djelatnicima hotela. Hotelski djelatnici moraju biti strpljivi i pribrani u ovom poslu jer se susreću sa raznoraznim situacijama. Veliki problem je i sama zaposlenost upravo zbog COVID-19 bolesti. Puno djelatnika u turizmu je dobilo otkaze ili su ih vlasnici hotela stavili na minimalne plaće kako bi ih zadržali. Rad u hotelijerstvu je jako stresan posao, nikada se ne zna kako će biti sutra te tijekom sezone koja nije baš duga. Potrebno je ulagati u djelatnike te ih nagrađivati kako bi oni bili zadovoljni i imali motivaciju, a isto tako ukoliko je radnik zadovoljan, biti će i gost.
Abstract (english)
Croatia offers a large number of hotels that are set more and more. Hotels are not necessarily just accommodation like beds, but much more than that, the whole content and activities. Marketing is also very important in the hotel industry, it greatly influences how a hotel will operate. The competition is very high, so you need to be persistent and resourceful in running the entire hotel. the category of hotels is very important, how many stars hotels have. The standards of hotels in Croatia have given their identity, become recognizable all over the world, so some guests are constantly returning. Each place has its own charm, but of course with the look of the hotel and the activities it offers, communication with hotel staff is very important. Hotel staff need to be patient and collected in this business as they encounter a variety of situations. The big problem is the employment itself due to the COVID-19 disease. A lot of tourism workers were fired or put on minimum wages by hotel owners to keep them. Working in the hotel industry is a very stressful job, you never know what it will be like tomorrow during a season that is not very long. It is necessary to invest in employees who reward them in order to be satisfied and motivated, and if the employee is satisfied, the guest will be also.
