Abstract
Moderno hotelsko poslovanje odvija se u dinamičnim i turbulentnim uvjetima. Rizik je veoma utjecajan faktor na uspješnost poslovanja. Interna revizija predstavlja alat koji mora biti implementiran u poslovanje svakog modernog poduzeća kako bi vršio kontrolu procesa, ispitivao i istraživao financijske izvještaje i pripremao ih za istraživanje eksterne revizije, i sudjelovao u procjeni rizika. Savjetodavna uloga interne revizije veoma je važan koncept koji se ne smije zanemariti prilikom ragiranja na uočene probleme u određenom procesu. Interna revizija u hotelima je posebice važna budući da je usluga u hotelima usko vezana za provođenje svih procesa po propisanim normama i standardima. Usklađenost procesa s normama i standardima važan je element koji istražuje interna revizija. Očekuje se da je razina usklađenosti što viša u hotelima, zato što bi se time garantirala visoka kvaliteta usluge. Na primjeru interne revizije u Valamar Riviere kao jednom od najvećih i najuspješnijih hotelskih poduzeća u Hrvatskoj utvrđeni su postupci, uloga i zadaci interne revizije te se ispitala važnost odjela interne revizije u modernom hotelskom poslovanju.
Abstract (english)
Modern hospitality business is happening in dynamic and turbulent circumstances.Risk is one of the most influental factors when considering business sucsess. Internal audit is one of the critical tools of coping with risk and providing crucial controls and investigations into business processes. Internal audit in hotels advices manegement regarding decisions on improving or revamping certain processes and services. Internal audit's advisory role must be considered when problems are discovered and require corective actions. Internal audit in hotels is of special significance considering how hotel services are closely connected to hotel processes being performed according to all standards and norms that are applied. Level of harmony between processes and the level of standards provided is a major element that internal audit controls. It is expected that processes in hotels achive the highest level of harmony with the standards and norms, because it will imply that the level of quality of the services is on a high level. Roles, goals and processes of internal audit in hotel industry was investigated through the example of Valamar Riviera d.d. hotel group because it represents one of the biggest and most succesful hotel groups in Croatia, and on that example the significance of internal audit in modern business has been explained.
