Abstract
Cultural tourism is a specific form of tourism that includes visits of tourists outside of their permanent place of residence motivated by an interest in culture, history, arts, heritage and lifestyle of people in foreign locality or region. In the first chapter, general information about Zagreb will be provided, while in the second chapter the focus will be on Zagreb as a European city of culture. The third chapter deals with the role of museums in cultural offer of the city of Zagreb, and special attention will be given to three museums; Museum of Contemporary Art, Technical Museum, and Museum of Arts and Crafts because they are the most visited museums in Zagreb. In the last chapter statistical data with quantitative indicators are presented in order to show the frequency of visits to museums in the city of Zagreb.
Abstract (croatian)
Kulturni turizam je specifični oblik turizma koji obuhvaća posjete turista izvan njihovog stalnog mjesta boravka motivirane interesom za kulturom, što obuhvaća povijest, umjetnost, naslijeđe ili stil života ljudi na nekom lokalitetu ili nekoj regiji. U prvome poglavlju bit će riječi općenito o Zagrebu, dok će se u drugom poglavlju tematika bazirati na pozicioniranju Zagreba kao kulturnog grada u Europi. Treće poglavlje će se baviti ulogom muzeja u kulturnoj ponudi grada Zagreba, a posebna pozornost dat će se trima muzejima; muzeju suvremene umjetnosti, tehničkom muzeju te muzeju za umjetnost i obrt budući da su oni najposjećeniji muzeji u Zagrebu. U zadnjem poglavlju biti će obrađeni statistički podaci gdje će se moći evidentirati kvantitativni pokazatelji koji jasno upućuju na stanje posjećenosti muzeja u gradu Zagrebu.
