Endometrial cancer is one of the most common gynecological malignancies in patients and often occurs with symptoms of abnormal vaginal bleeding or discharge. Detecting cancer at an early stage increases the chances of successful treatment. If the diagnosis is confirmed on the basis of anamnestic data, clinical examination, transvaginal ultrasound, fractional curettage, surgical treatment follows. Ultrasound allows the assessment of tumor volume and depth of penetration into the muscular layer of the uterus. Treatment selection and effect assessment is performed by grading, using the FIGO classification. The final diagnosis is made on the basis of a pathohistological finding. Basically, surgical treatment is primary, where quality planning can determine the precise extent of cancer and at the same time avoid unwanted consequences. In addition to surgical treatment, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are also used for better outcome. The treatment of malignant diseases in oncology requires a multidisciplinary approach in order to provide patients with the optimal way of treatment, and thus better outcomes.
