Abstract
Sam proces starenja počinje od začeća pa do smrti. Starenje je dio cjeloživotnog razvoja, a povezano je biološkim, psihološkim i socijalnim čimbenicima. Biološka teorija zastupa genetsko nasljeđivanje, ali ga može mijenjati slučajni događaj iz svakodnevnog života, izazvan unutarnjim ili vanjskim čimbenikom. Sociološka teorija zastupa promjene pojedinca i društva, njihove međusobne interakcije i kulture. Psihološka teorija govori o cjeloživotnom razvoju života, o uspjesima i krizama te prilagođavanju svakog pojedinca situacijama u životu. Boljom kvalitetom života produžuje se čovjekova životna dob. Prema podacima Gerontoloških zdravstveno-statističkih pokazatelja za Hrvatsku u 2002./2003. godini, udio starijih ljudi u pučanstvu Hrvatske raste, tako da se naša zemlja svrstava u staru populaciju. Udio starijih od 65 godina 2001. bio je 15,62%, a 2010. godine 17,6%. U starosti život dobiva nove duhovne dimenzije i prednosti kojih nije bilo u mlađoj životnoj dobi. Cilj istraživanja je pokazati porast infekcija koje se javljaju tijekom godina kod imuno kompromitiranih bolesnika u našoj ustanovi. U sklopu istraživanja obuhvaćeni su i mikrobiološki nalazi.
Abstract (english)
The aging process begins from conception and lasts until death. Aging is a part of lifelong development. It is associated with biological, psychological and social factors. The biological theory represents genetic inheritance, but it can be altered by a random occurrence from everyday life, caused by an internal or external factor. The sociological theory describes changes in individuals and society, as well as their mutual interaction and culture. The psychological theory discusses the lifelong development of life, successes, and crises, as well as an individual's adaptation to situations in life. The life span of a person is extended by a better quality of life. According to data from Gerontological and public health indicators annual report for 2002/2003, the percentage of older people in the population is growing, which is why Croatia is classified as a country with an older population. The percentage of people older than 65 in 2001 was 15,62% and 17,6% in 2010. Life obtains new spititual dimensions and benefits in old age that were not present when a person is younger. The research aims to demonstrate the increase of infections that occur over the years in immunocompromised patients in our institution. The study comprises microbiological findings over the last 10 years.
