Breast cancer is today the most common malignancy in the female population and still the most common cause of death from malignant diseases in women. But progress is being made every day in treating this public health problem. The metastatic site that occurs during disease progression in patients with early breast cancer is extremely important in determining disease outcome. Primary prevention of breast cancer at the population level refers to the modification of variable risk factors, which include lifestyle changes, increased physical activity. Secondary prevention defines mammography as the main choice, ie early detection of breast cancer. In recent years, data have increasingly highlighted the role of early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer, and although mammography is still considered the most important method of diagnosis, there are more and more other diagnoses that contribute to this importance. Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease, and the decision on treatment is made based on the characteristics of the tumor, the stage at which the disease is detected, the characteristics of the patient and in accordance with her wishes. Adjuvant treatment of early breast cancer may include chemotherapy, hormone therapy and anti-HER2 therapy, and radiotherapy.
