Cancer is one of the global problems in public health due to its high incidence and mortality rate. Of all types of cancer, breast cancer stands out, due to its increased rate of frequency. Breast cancer is the leading cause of death in women and is the second most common cancer worldwide. It can also occur in the male sex, but statistics have shown that the ratio of occurance between male and female sex is 1:100. Triple negative breast cancer is one of the many subtypes of breast cancer. The name "triple negative" comes from the fact that it lacks estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors and HER2 receptors. It has a specific phenotype with an extremely poor treatment outcome and therapeutic response. It occurs more often in women under the age of 40 and is very aggressive in nature. When making a diagnosis, the disease is often at an advanced stage, and the occurrence of disease recovery in the five-year period is common. Triple negative breast cancer is a complicated disease to treat, due to its characteristics. It is currently being treated with standard cytotoxic chemotherapy, while immunotherapy and targeted therapy are still the subject of research.
