Stroke research has shown an association with a more common individual approach in the rehabilitation of stroke survivors leading to an increase in the quality of life of stroke patients. The death rate in people with stroke is high. Two-thirds of patients show different symptoms of the disease, while a large number of patients depend on the help of other people. Stroke leads to great consequences for patients and their relatives. In survivors of a more severe form of stroke, 20% of patients need movement assistance. About 15% of patients end up in specialized institutions. Due to such a situation, quality of life is one of the most important factors in the life of people suffering from stroke. Physical and work disability in the younger population are the most common consequences of stroke. Motor deficits, behavioral changes such as cognitive disorders, depression, dementia are just some of the consequences of a stroke. The rehabilitation program begins immediately after treatment is completed. The purpose of rehabilitation is to achieve greater independence and faster and better recovery. A stroke patient is cared for by a special team. The team includes health professionals (physiatrist, neurologist, physiotherapists, nurses, speech therapists, occupational therapists). It is very important to include the patient's family in the recovery program, which results in the best possible recovery for the patient.
