Abstract
Podaci Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije pokazuju da od 210 milijuna trudnoća koje se dese svake godine, oko 22% završi namjernim prekidom i, gledano globalno, vjerojatnost je da će ogromna većina žena imati bar jedan pobačaj do 45. godine života. Danas na raspolaganju stoji mnoštvo oblika zaštite od neželjenih trudnoća, a rasprava o pobačaju ne jenjava, te je nemoguće ne zapitati se što je razlog tome. Crkva se oštro protivi pobačaju kao činu zločina protiv života. S druge strane nameću se pitanja ljudskih prava, odnosno pravo žene da odluči što želi učiniti sa svojim tijelom i što je najbolje za nju i njenu budućnost. Medikamentozni pobačaj se definira kao prekid trudnoće pomoću lijekova. Mifepriston zajedno sa Mizoprostolom najčešči je oblik medikamentoznog prekida trudnoće. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je prikazati primjenu i učinkovitost medikamentoznog prekida trudnoće u Općoj bolnici Pula od veljače 2016. godine do 2020. godine. Medikamentozni pobačaj predstavlja siguran i učinkovit način prekida trudnoće.
Abstract (english)
Data from the World Health Organization show that of the 210 million pregnancies that occur each year, about 22% end in an induced abortion and, globally, the vast majority of women are likely to have at least one miscarriage by the age of 45. There are many forms of protection available against unwanted pregnancies today, and the debate over abortion is not waning, so it is impossible not to wonder what the reason behind it is. The Church strongly opposes abortion as it sees it as an act of crime against life. On the other hand, human rights issues arise, i.e. the right of a woman to decide what she wants to do with her body and what is best for her and her future. Medical abortion is defined as the termination of a pregnancy using medication. Mifepristone together with Mizoprostol is the most common form of the medical termination of pregnancy. The aim of this thesis is to present the application and effectiveness of medical termination of pregnancy in the General Hospital Pula from February 2016 to 2020. Medical abortion is a safe and effective way to terminate a pregnancy.
