Abstract Uvod: Redovito prakticiranje sportskih aktivnosti povezano je s boljom kvalitetom života, smanjenim rizikom od niza kroničnih bolesti ali povećanim rizikom od nastanka ozljeda.
Cilj istraživanja: ispitati kvalitetu života sportaša nakon operacije koljena.
Materijali i metode: U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 122 sportaša, (60 rekreativnih i 62 profesionalnih) koji su fizikalnu rehabilitaciju odrađivali u Daruvarskim toplicama. Ispitanici su sudjelovali u istraživanju putem anketnog upitnika od 34 pitanja (7 pitanja o demografskim obilježjima ispitanika, 3 pitanja o kvaliteti života ispitanika, 23 pitanja o utjecaju boli na svakodnevni život, funkcionalne sposobnosti, uživanja u životu nakon operacije koljena, aktivnosti iz svakodnevnog života, emocionalna podrška, te jedno pitanje otvorenog tipa).
Rezultati: Većina ispitanika svoje trenutno zdravstveno stanje i kvalitetu života nakon operacije ocjenjuje kao dobro ili vrlo dobro (92,7%). Prilično ili u potpunosti uživa u životu 78 (63,9 %) ispitanika nakon operacije, umjereno njih 39 (32 %). Razlike u kvaliteti života sportaša nakon operacije koljena s obzirom na profesionalno i rekreativno bavljenje sportom nije bilo. Statistički značajne razlike zabilježene su u kvaliteti života nakon operacije koljena s obzirom na spol. Žene su lošije ocijenile domenu kvalitete života, fizičko i psihičko stanje te ukupnu skalu kvalitete života. Vrijeme proteklo od operacije u pozitivnoj je i značajnoj vezi s domenom kvalitete života, domenom fizičkog i psihičkog stanja, kao i s ukupnoj kvalitetom života.
Zaključak: Ne postoji razlika u kvaliteti života i postoperativnoj boli sportaša nakon operacije koljena s obzirom na profesionalno i rekreativno bavljenje sportom, dob, međutim, zavisno od spola ispitanika postojale su razlike u ovim parametrima. Žene generalno lošije podnose bol i ocjenjuju smanjenu kvalitetu života u odnosu na muškarce. Također, vrijeme proteklo od operacije u pozitivnoj je i značajnoj vezi s domenom kvalitete života, domenom fizičkog i psihičkog stanja, kao i s ukupnoj kvalitetom života.
Abstract (english) Introduction: Regular practice of sports activities is associated with a better quality of life, reduced risk of a number of chronic diseases, but increased risk of injuries. The aim of the research: to examine the quality of life of athletes after knee surgery. Materials and methods: 122 athletes participated in the research (60 recreational and 62 professional) who were doing physical rehabilitation in the Daruvar spa. Respondents took part in the research through a questionnaire of 34 questions (7 questions about the demographic characteristics of the respondents, 3 questions about the quality of life of the respondents, 23 questions about the impact of pain on everyday life, functional abilities, enjoyment of life after knee surgery, activities from everyday life, emotional support, and one open-ended question). Results: Most respondents rate their current state of health and quality of life after surgery as good or very good (92.7%). 78 (63.9 %) respondents enjoy life fairly or completely after surgery, 39 (32 %) of them moderately. There were no differences in the quality of life of athletes after knee surgery with respect to professional and recreational sports. Statistically significant differences were recorded in the quality of life after knee surgery with regard to gender. Women rated the domain of quality of life, physical and mental condition and the overall quality of life scale worse. The time elapsed since the operation has a positive and significant relationship with the domain of quality of life, the domain of physical and psychological condition, as well as with the overall quality of life. Conclusion: There is no difference in the quality of life and postoperative pain of athletes after knee surgery with regard to professional and recreational sports, age, however, depending on the gender of the subjects, there were differences in these parameters. Women generally tolerate pain worse and rate a reduced quality of life compared to men. Also, the time since surgery has a positive and significant relationship with the domain of quality of life, the domain of physical and psychological condition, as well as with the overall quality of life.
