Abstract
Astma je jedan od značajnih svjetskih javnozdravstvenih problema koju uglavnom pogađa djecu i osobe mlađe životne dobi. Unatoč jasnoj etiologiji, od astme u svijetu trenutno boluje oko 340 milijuna ljudi, a prevalencija se kreće između 8 i 15%. Dijagnostički postupci uključuju anamnezu i fizikalni pregled koji je uglavnom popraćen i testovima plućnih funkcija od kojih je najčešće korištena spirometrija. U proces liječenja osoba s dijagnozom astme nužno je primijeniti terapiju lijekovima, te inhalacijsku i fizikalnu terapiju. Osim liječnika, posebnu ulogu ima i medicinska sestra koja svojim edukativnim pristupom pacijentima utječe na proces liječenja i kvalitetu života. U specijalnoj bolnici Thalassotherapia Crikvenica provode se inhalacijske terapije za djecu s dijagnozom astme. Prilikom dolaska te otpusta pacijentima se učini pretraga spirometrije, stoga su prikupljeni dostupni podaci o rezultatima spirometrije za ukupno 50 ispitanika u 2021. godini. Podaci su obrađeni izračunom aritmetičke sredine i standardne devijacije kao i t-testa.
Abstract (english)
Asthma is one of the significant global public health problems that mainly affects children and younger people. Despite the clear etiology, around 340 million people in the world currently suffer from asthma, and the prevalence ranges between 8 and 15%. Diagnostic procedures include anamnesis and a physical examination, which is mostly accompanied by pulmonary function tests, of which spirometry is the most commonly used. In addition, in the process of treating people with a diagnosis of asthma, it is necessary to apply drug therapy, as well as inhalation and physical therapy. In addition to the doctor, the nurse plays a special role, influencing the treatment process and quality of life with her educational approach to patients. In the special hospital Thalassotherapia Crikvenica, inhalation therapies are carried out for children diagnosed with asthma. At the time of arrival and discharge, spirometry tests are repeated for patients, therefore, available data on spirometry results for a total of 50 subjects in 2021 were collected. The data were processed by calculating the arithmetic mean and standard deviation as well as the t-test.
